BiblefyMe is built to respect your privacy. We don’t show ads, we don’t use third‑party analytics or tracking, and we never sell your information. What we store depends on whether you use the phone app or the web app.
Phone apps (iOS & Android)
The details you enter to personalize Scripture — your name, gender, and any optional spouse or children names — along with your bookmarks, highlights, notes, prayers, memory verses, reading progress, streaks and settings, are stored only on your device. The phone apps have no accounts on our servers and do not upload this information to us.
Web app (app.biblefy.me)
You can read and personalize Scripture on the web without an account — in that case your data stays in your browser’s local storage. If you choose to create an account or sign in (with Google or an email and password), we store the following in Google Firebase so it can sync across your devices and be linked to your purchase:
- Your email address (for sign‑in).
- Your personalization profile: name, gender, and any optional spouse/children names you add.
- Your unlock status (whether you’ve purchased full access and/or the Married Edition).
Sign‑in and this data are handled by Google Firebase (Authentication & Firestore), acting as our processor.
Payments
Purchases on the web are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout and are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number. We only receive confirmation that a purchase succeeded so we can unlock your account. Purchases inside the phone apps are handled by Apple’s App Store or Google Play.
Microphone & speech
If you use voice search, your device’s built‑in speech recognition converts your speech to text to run the search. Audio is not recorded, stored, or sent to us.
Children
BiblefyMe lets you read Scripture personalized with a child’s name; that name is stored only on your device or in your own account. BiblefyMe is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices & deleting your data
On the phone apps, clearing the app’s data or uninstalling removes everything. On the web, you can sign out at any time; to delete the data associated with your account, contact us and we will remove it. You can also export your notes and bookmarks from within the app.
Changes
If we update this policy, we’ll revise the date above and post the new version here.
